Johnny creates an experience that gets kids out of their head, worried about what others are thinking of them, to being in their heart and being themselves.
Teens are bombarded with experiences that put them in their heads. The only way to get them back into their heart is to create an experience where they can recognize when they are in their head and have them feel what it’s like to be in their heart.
The Answer for Teens provides the ability to choose to be in their hearts. Watch the video above and read what people have said below to see how Johnny gets them into their hearts. You will be blown away by the powerful teens you see.
“It was great to see every kid involved and come down from the bleachers to dance and express themselves without the judgment of others holding them back. They sure love the funny dancing and magic show. I think the impact was best summarized by the group of kids that stayed after to tell Johnny thank you. A few of them have been having a hard time and I could tell it really made a difference for them.”
Darrah Eggers, Deary High School Principal
“I struggle in classes that come easy to other people. I don’t have the fancy clothes or jewelry or other things that people have and I don’t have any amazing talents at sports or musical things. I am a plain student. Then I wrote “Maybe I Am noticed” I’ve stopped comparing my work to other people and have trusted that I can do something and it is great. I believe understanding this will help me throughout my life. Thank You!”

“Getting out of your comfort zone, take risks, be willing to make a mistake and overcoming fear was the perfect groundwork for my classes.”
Trish Bechtel, Teacher
“I loved all of his stories and walked away from the discussion with insight that made me want to be a better person and leader.”
Kristi, Student
“I have realized it is ok to just be myself.”
Cameron, Student
“We had Johnny present for the first day of school, and it was a great experience. Johnny had the kids on their feet singing, dancing and laughing. It was great to witness students and teachers verbalizing their thoughts and feelings, and sharing with one another. Johnny’s message gives students and adults another option to break the cycle of self-defeating behaviors, thoughts and feelings.”
Kelly Caldwell, Principal
“Because of this great experience I have been able to step out of my comfort zone. When we wrote I AM… I talked about being smart, pretty, responsible, etc. While thinking of many things that I AM… it made me realize some great attributes I have that I have never realized.”
Karina, Student
“This has helped me to be able to stand up to be more social to talk and to be able to make friends. Since the 2nd
grade I’ve had troubles making friends. Now I know what to do. Thanks again.”
Alex, Student
“I loved…the activities, getting to know people; you made me feel better about myself. Now I feel unstoppable. You need to do this for everyone. Thank you!”
Rebekah, Student
“I felt worthless before I came here and now I’m happy and I love myself. Keep doing what you’re doing!”
Student
“I overheard some girls in the bathroom say, “I thought it was going to be lame like sitting there all day and them saying Look inside yourself! But they are having the time of their lives! I wish I had signed up!”

“I walked in here a person who didn’t know herself and I walked out being who I really am! Me!”

Johnny experience with a student
“After and assembly there was a line of students afterwards saying how much fun they had and the difference it made for them. I had one girl, with emotion in her voice, say how she wants to make her Senior year different. She wants to be herself and now she knows how to do that because of what she learned at the assembly. She started to glow as I told her I believe in her and that just having the courage to come and tell me that was a huge step forward.”
